I used Google to find a couple:

Field of Dreams Cat Club (http://vanadis.cnc.net/Dreams/2010flyer.htm - broken link)

http://www.catshows.us/coastalpaws/

Most will be at the State Fairgrounds (along with dog shows, horse shows, etc.) so you can keep an eye on their website for more.

The best place to find info about local shows is to check with the Cat Fanciers Association (Cat Fanciers' Association: CAT SHOW ENTRY COUNTS) and The International Cat Association (Cat Shows - Official TICA Show Calendar) as both organizations have shows in the Raleigh area throughout the year.

abnheel: Yes, they always have lots of vendors on site with more cat products than you could imagine possible! It's a cat lover's paradise, it you've never been to one I definitely recommend it, I always manage to find good products/grooming tools/etc that I couldn't get elsewhere.

We went to a cat show at the Holshouser Bldg about a month or so ago, and we came away with several toys that we didn't already have (and we have oodles) that our kitties really love. The vendors there seem to think like a cat and know just what will keep them interested. Lots of great wand toys. And fun to see all the cats, too!

So people bring cats on a leash or something?? That may be entertaining...

tmasek73- obviously you have never been to a cat show. The cats are in cages, all done up with special beds and curtains and these crazy cat people stick toys in the cages and people walk around and look at all the breeds of cats and say "Oh isn't she cute" or "oh what an ugly cat" and then they are judged by breeds by usually lady judges or very effeminent men judges (Oh please don't flame me here) and they stretch the cat out up in the air and declare

"And this is my best in show" and we either clap or say boo and then you go home and it is great fun. But then you have to be a cat person to appreciate it all.

My cats wouldn't appreciate it at all.

Do people really boo the cats?

that is so funny---no they boo the judges-just like any sporting event. We all have our favorite breeds and some get upset their favorites don't win.
