I'm here now and it was something like 34-deg when I went for my morning run. Supposed to get up in the high sixties. Sun finally came out after a few days from what I hear - just got here yesterday.

But giving yourself a day and half or so is a much better idea. There are some great short hiking trails but they are best early or late int he day. The Sage Creek area is off the beaten path and is worth a visit.

If Minuteman NHS is of interest and tours are sold out you might make a stop at the South Dakota Air and Space Museum. It's free and I believe they also have a Minuteman launch control unit, although it's not in the ground like at the NHS.
Helpful, thanks
