Just be honest in your listings and stop being scared. Short of using racial slurs and profanity I don't really thing HUD is coming after anyone for being a little nearsighted and insensitive. The Washington Redskins are a private business and use a clearly insensitive mascot team name and have been upheld by any legal challenge. How much leniency do you, a private business, think will be afforded under the 1st amendment if challenged?
Our MLS will scan listing language for improper language and will warn and fine if the offending words aren't removed. I've been warned over using "walking distance", "additional family member unit" and "wheel chair accessible".
That's silly. Blind people won't find it offensive to have that language in a listing description. How are they going to read it?
There are programs that read text for the blind but that was not the purpose of the post and it went over your head
