I am buying a house that definitely needs a new paint job on the outside of the home.
I am looking for any and all suggestions of what would be some colors that would look good for the outside painting of my new home.
I will also need a new roof for the home. So if you have an idea of a color for the new roof that would go along with the color of the house then feel free to let me know.
I will also need to repaint the trim around the windows.
So I am looking for nice new roof and home painting color combinations along with the painting of the trim around the windows.
I love a white house with black trim/shutters, black roof. It just looks nice, clean and always relevant. You could do a cream/beige house, dark brown shutters/trim with a dark brown roof, too. I'm just a neutral lover, not into bold colors/patterns, but everyone has their own style. Depends on part of country you live, too.
Hire a decorator to help you pick the colors. For $100 or so, it's a great investment. You don't want to spend $10,000 or more and regret your choices.
Both color of brick/siding and style of house play a role in picking colors. Without a photo, we can only tell you go online, for example, Sherwin Williams lets you upload a photo and "try" various paints on it.
Some HOAs specify what color of roofing shingles you have to use. Check your documents before making a $10,000 mistake.
