Reading the background details of the Zillow zestimate team shows that not one of them has any background in real estate . No wonder the zestimate algorithm is totally meaningless and wildly inaccurate. What a joke this company is.

Personally, I think the bigger issue is that Zillow can estimate neighborhood values, but has really no way of knowing what is inside the house so there is no way to estimate a value for a specific house. If you put $100K into upgrades into a house, that has absolutely no impact on the Zestimate.

Yeah, thats why its called a zestimate. Its based on the word, estimate. Its nothing more than a rough, approximate calculation or judgment of the value. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm pretty sure Zillow used to steal his lunch money when he was little.

Zillow is a useful tool but clearly not an end all be all.

He is probably annoyed at how much people use zillow as the real value of their home. I know people who are not even selling their house check zillow every week to see what its worth and they get angry when it drops. Well, my house just lost another $10k! Doh!

LOL. People are nutty.

I agree. Obviously, he has a "personal" issue with them.
