If you want to do some research, you might start here: LSCMH - Condominiums

I think you have a right to know why you were rejected. I would put it in writing and give them 30 days to respond. Best of luck to you.

I would simply take my ball of money and go buy something else. Let the seller figure it out.

Did you, by any chance, refuse to answer their "invasive" questions on their questionnaire? If so, you should not be surprised that they rejected your application.

Move on. Find a different place to purchase.

I thought only coop boards can reject you..condos have very little power in this regard...at least that is what any attorney here in NYC told me.

Why not, this is the land of sue for any reason, any time, for the hell's of it. If they hurt you're feelings that should be worth a few million.

I wish you the best and like others have mentioned, maybe it wasn't meant to be.

I still believe we are only hearing one side of the story so naturally that side will be biased and selective in what they post .

That might be a regional thing. In Florida, condo boards have a lot of power in situations like this.

I guess that's the case here. In NY, they only have the right of first refusal, which means they can either buy/rent from the owner themselves. Other than that, they don't have any power really.
