Several years ago, we had people down the street who were a mess. Mattresses in the front yard, whole collection of people who seemed to run various landscaping, painting, and window washing businesses, fires in the backyard.

HOA contacted the owners countless times. They'd fret and stew and wring their hands. Apparently, they were relatives and they'd rather have the $100 fine than deal with evicting them.

Fire Dept. finally convinced the owners to do something.

Thank you everyone. I will be going to the City and Fire Dept. I have the fire on video. You can see flames over the top of his house.

it's best if you call while the fire is blazing, so the FD can see what's going on for themselves.

I have a neighbor who used to do this, smoked out our house many times, ignored our requests. After 3 visits from the FD, he finally stopped!

Just a update.
I showed the video of my neighbors blazing fire over his roof top with hot ambers flying everywhere to his rental managment company and told her she is now on notice so if my home or any other neighbors home burns down because of this jackass she will be liable.
He hasn’t had a fire since.
Thank goodness!!

Thanks for the update. It's nice not to be left hanging! Congrats on the resolution, that must be a big relief.

This right here. You've tried nice. Now let the one who can do something about it take over. He'll probably get a nice fine but oh well, his fault not yours.
