ALso remember no one is going to rent you a apartment or home for less than 500$ anywhere in US, if you think thats cheap.

Boise is cheap to me and super safe. The problem with big US cities is most or either cheap or safe but not both.

Many places are safe because there aren't that many people living there.

Also there are safe parts to most cities but they are usually the most expensive parts. The cheap areas of cities are usually not safe.

What do you mean by safe? People live in all types of areas and aren't murdered or robbed everyday.

There are Walter Whites (Breaking Bad), Jake Patterson, Zephen Xaver, and Turpin families living in all types of cities and areas.

There is no such thing as safe, crime can happen and does happen anywhere. By the way Safest and cheapest don’t usually come hand in hand. “Safer” areas tend to be more expensive.

Ridiculous question.

If you are not referring to rural towns, I do not think there are safe cities that are inexpensive, unfortantely. But if someone is retired (or doesn't mind commuting an hour and a half to work), there will be more options. I think if i had to narrow it doesn, the midwest (WI, IL, IN, OH) would hold more lower cost options than coastal areas, while still being in proximity of some jobs.

I think it is safe to take anywhere in FL off the list. Any cheap town here (that is not rural) has a fairly high crime rate. Unfortunately!
