I have no desire for that. I like kids, I have kids, and I'm not old enough for an age-restricted community. I don't see where anyone in this thread said they hated kids. I personally just said that our former neighbors who let their kids run screaming in the streets at night--after 9 pm--were bad neighbors. Not because they had kids, but because they ignored their kids' bad behavior. Good neighbors don't let their kids disturb the whole neighborhood.
You qualified your statement-others didn't.
We had a (renter) guy here several years ago who worked from home (before it was "a thing") who wanted us to to close his block to all vehicular traffic as well as banning kids playing because the noise disturbed him while working.

I might have suggested fleshy headphones. He moved after a year and wrote a very peckish letter about having to move because the Town couldn't/wouldn't meet his needs.
Buying a house where every car sports a Baby on Board decal, every yard has a swing set and every corner is a school bus stop and then complaining about kids is somewhat counter-intuitive.

I don't think anyone here has complained about kids in any area, I saw complaints about kids who are permitted by their parents to become nuisances to the neighbors.
And being in an area where the resurrection of "Baby on Board" signs is acceptable is just wrong on so many levels.
