Hey there Joy and everyone! We were up north for a week to family cabin as DH had some days off and it is a cheap option for lodging. It's on a lake and there is a casino etc. It's nice to get away.

That Peaches n cream recipe sounds good. I will have to catch up here. I am planning to go out shopping for some fall clothes today, so need to get around. I made lasanga yesterday so will just heat some up before I head out later and DH can heat some up when he gets in.

Have a great start to your week everyone

I would adopt you but it comes with conditions, lol, sell my damn house! As to being potty trained well that is what I have been doing, 3 times my boy has dumped in the floor---WTF. He is 5 yrs old and it is like he has forgotten he is trained, do not know what is going on with him. He started doing this about 2 weeks ago and I can not seem to stop him. Throw him out for several hours and in he comes and bang I wake up to a mess. Today I just finished mopping the floor after him and 10 mins later I am in there cleaning again............I am not a happy camper with the dd or the boys.

You've got a deal!!!!!!! Adopt and cook for me and I'll sell your house. Hey maybe that could be a new show! LOL On your dog, has anything changed in routine or anything? My Rott was always good about going outside - unless I P'od him. Then he'd do the same dang thing - be outside plenty of time to go, then get in the house and go. I wonder if all the guns going off or whatever did something? All I know is that the only time my Rott did it was when he was upset with me - his way of saying 'well take that, then" crap, crap, crap. And he was so big it was like a horse took a dump.

I have no clue, I have done this dog thing for my whole life, had a licensed kennel, did ob training, have house broke a zillion dogs and I am at a loss. The one, Reb is allergic to something in the yard and if he goes out he comes in just scratching horribly, so he will puddle occasionally to keep from going outside. I understand this but "my" boy has no excuse what so ever and he knows he is doing wrong. As soon as I walk into the room he will hide, so I know it is him.

Love the rotties too. Here is a story for you with Rotties. One of my customers had two hugh ones, kept them in a kennel when they went to wook, inside they made great guard dogs for them. Not friendly, very little social skills and very intimidating! One morning I showed up to work on their renovation and the kennel door was open and they were gone. They had boot scooted across a very busy road to the horse stables across the street to chase some horses. I could not get ahold of the owners and I had to try to get them back home before they got hurt either by a horse or hit by a car. Long story short, I caught them and got back to the kennels as the owners both came flying into the drive. They were scared of them biting someone and just couldn't figure out how I caught them. I went over to the kennel and let them out again, made them sit and then I rolled them around on the ground, lol..........some guard doggies!

Well, here I am by myself again. DH went back home yesterday after a little over a week here. We did some things around here, but also spent some other time just doing things in the area. Painted my craft room, so I have been getting it back together. Put up a new light in the dining area (stained glass light that DH made) and a triple hanging light above my kitchen sink. But that's about it. Neighbors loaned us their golf cart so we went driving around the community for 2 days. Next time he comes down we will be painting the last room and maybe working on the master walk-in closet and that will pretty much be the last indoor projects. DH has finally agreed that we need to build a screened in porch on the back instead of just getting a roll out awning. All those moquito bites did more than just my opinion did! But have to wait to sell the house so we have the money to do it. And with me not being able to find any job, it will be tight for awhile even after selling (if ever).

Sophie is doing a bit better. Still not back to the trusting level we had before I took her to the vet, but at least she will let me hold her for 10-15 minutes. She has found all the sunny places in the house for napping. She even managed to get me to open the blinds this morning where SHE wanted to nap. She is very pleased with how well she is training her "staff". Guessing I'm going to keep her because I just spent about $50 on litter, toys and food over the weekend. I have pretty much found out the trick to keeping her from throwing up is to make sure she has food all the time so she isn't starving in the morning and gobbles down too fast. I am still giving her a little bit of canned food, but more as a treat since I'm only giving her about a teaspoonful. Hopefully I can wean her off that eventually.

Painter.........The recipe sounds wonderful! I think I'm going to try it out on my neighbors. I use cooking as a repayment for all the nice things they do for me. Normally I absolutely hate to cook, but for some reason down here it seems to be more fun.

As far as the house, well I am ready to give up. We haven't had a showing for about a month. They finally did get the pictures fixed on the main C21 site. But I'm thinking that there is no hope for this year. I'm wondering if it wouldn't be smart to take it off the market for maybe Nov-Dec and maybe Jan. to try and reset the days on market. We discussed going FSBO, but we would still probably be stuck paying the buyer's agent anyway, so it would only save us about 5 grand and not sure it's worth the hassle for that, plus we would still have to pay the lawyer to do up all the agreement papers, etc. I'm just plain disgusted and depressed about it all. If "D"H had done what I wanted him to do over a year ago, it might have sold by now. But I'm sure we lost a lot of potentials due to the pix of the faded siding.

Guess it's back to organizing my room. Everybody have a great day! I'm so jealous of all the cruising! I really, really need a vacation away from everything "real estate". I keep telling DH that the whales of Hawaii are calling me, but don't think he's taking the hint.

It was this weekend, right? Every day just rolls into the next down here so I never know what day it is and my brain, well . . .

So Tex just votedddddd for Watson! HA Do think that thing rigged 'cause no way one dog got that many votes in 14 hours but anyway I got him up there a bit more LOL

Lacey, you having fun girl? The GK making you cook your fingers to the bone? So glad you two were able to make the trip.

NJ - are you out there 'waiting' for the dang bus? How was the weekend?

Stoy - hope this week is good and people behave themselves instead of giving you so much grief. Shame things there would be considered illegal 'cause I personally would just have my machete propped up on the wall for 'decoration'. Hey maybe you could say it's an antique from Panama to get away with it Just have it in a holder on your wall for 'encouragement' so everyone plays nice

Sara, thinking and praying for you girl. Bless your heart. XXOO

Goldy wherefore art thou? Haven't seen hide nor hair of ya in forever!

Jody, you must be out selling a million houses - you need to take your act on the road like a Carnie and go from camper to camper house and sell theirs.

Barb, you should be on the ship, having some drinks by now and RELAXING! So glad you and Carl were able to do this and do not worry about ANYTHING. Captain's orders!

Lorrie, hope you are doing good and keeping little Willow in my prayers. Hope she's doing better

HDL same here with your little fella. Know your busy but pop in sometime just to say hi!

Wisteria get off that dang beach girl! Glad you're obviously happy and busy in your new life - know that's why you haven't been around 'cause you have a great life now (as I sit here typing LOL)

Know I'm missing campers but dang Albert won't even let me type in peace. He always wakes up whiney - no idea why 'cause he sleeps next to me all night so not like I haven't been there. Clean litter, water and food so what the heck is there to whine about. If anyone should be whining, dang it it's me. I'm afraid, very afraid to even open my email didn't work over the weekend so I know there's probably 60 or so new emails. Ugh. That's what I get though. Oh well. I'll pop back in later.
JOY JOY JOY!!! How are you sister? Happy Monday!!BUs was late yet again but only til 430p instead of 5p! Getting better....Theypicked them up only 5 min. late today....so getting better...

Painter- that Peaches/cream recipe sounds divine!!! I will have to try it!

TEX- How goes it sister? Are you done with work for awhile?

Lacey- Never heard of the Italian Butcher! What street? route 9? Glad you are having fun in Joisey!!! You must be so happy to be near your family!
Gold- glad you had a nice vaca!!!

Ah. Well we had a showing today. Zany realtor called us last week (7 days ago) to be exact and said, oh, theres a couple that has cash (don't they all?LOL) and can do a 30 day closing, can you?? I said yes, definitely. So we were one of 4 homes...said she would tell other realtor (diff. agency)that yes, we can close in 30 days.. IF of course, they like ours the best.
So today...I called realtor and asked what was up with them? that they are coming in today? and no appt made? She said she just heard from other realtor....so 1p.... She said just call my office and tell my secretary (I didnt want to wait for her to call me!)and said 1p? She said yes. That is when they will come over. I said, ok...no problem. Let's see. 11 am. I find this out. HOw RUDE buyers are to expect people to wait til last minute!! ugh. Anyway, it's 1215p here and I see the freakin agent coming up the walk and the couple/.I 'm like "shiiiiiiittz"!!!!!!!!!! so I grabbed the Dyson and dragged it downstairs.....lol..and poked my head out door....said, wasn't it 1p for the showing? Realtor said no, she was told 12-1p (she was probably done with the other 3 hses and ours was last on short list)...early LOL..Nice...so I sort of met the people...The guy was nice...older couple.the realtor is yelling to me--You can stay, well only be a few minutes".. I thought, geez.. I cleaned my ass off and now they tell me to staylol that they won't be long!! and she says it AGAIN!! relentlessly lol...I said, no it's ok, I am on my way out anyway!!
then she says to me "How do I lock the door? " LOL. ok. It has a combination lock on the door....I said, do you need the combination? she said, ruffling through her things..that no, she had it! Ah gotta love it.

So I dashed off. So anyway,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, feedback *which I didn't want to hear...I just want a freakin offer. Feedback EQUALS no offer. Case closed LOL...

Realtor says oh, they LOVED IT BUT they want to look at a condo tomorrow. So you all know what that means!! Realtor did ask how negotiable are THEY????? AND mine said they have some room but make an offer!!!! I reinerated to our lovely realtor again not to give a frickin amt...because NO ONE WILL EVER give us a damn offer. Ever. So here we sit. I was feelin it all week. That is why I dont even want to post this shat to get my hopes up lol.........it always falls through. So we will see.
One thing the other realtor did say was , do the people LIVE there presently or go in and tidy it? My realtor said, oh no, they live there...She said wow, and that is was absolutely immaculate. At least that made me feel good.
I figured they were going to come back and say, we need an OTIS ELEVATOR in the house...and that they couldn't walk the stairs...............LMAO. *older couple*....

Oh, yea, my husband got hit in the face when a door slammed in his face lol last week when it was so windy here and broke his molar!!!! so he might need root canal. YUK! We have the worse luck here...
