OK, I'm looking for advice on this...just sold my house . The buyer's inspection will be coming up very soon. Yesterday, I JUST discovered a small leak in the water supply piping in the crawlspace (at a joint in the PVC). It looks like it's been ongoing for a while, and it is very slow (barely any water collects on the vapor barrier). So the chances of a catastrophe in the next few days is unlikely. So should I hurry up and find a plumber tomorrow morning or just hold off and see what other issues their inspector notes that are unknown to me?

Get it fixed. The less things that appear on the report, the better. It's a leak so you'll need to fix it anyway, so you might as well get a jump on it. Leaks are not good and standing water is not good. I would think you would want it to have as much time as possible to dry out so the buyers aren't concerned, but don't forget, you'll need to disclose to them that you fixed a leak.

As FalconheadWest advised I would have it repaired to prevent additional items on the inspection report. I'll take it one farther and and to say have the plumber, while they are there, inspect your plumbing, hot water heater, jacuzzi tub, sprinkler system and all other plumbing/fixtures while they are there. Ask the plumber to repair what is found and provide a basic report of their findings and repairs. In this way you will at least have one major system covered if the Inspector calls out something else that might have had previous or current indications of an issue.

Good luck!
