Lately, when I'm in need of a snack--you know, those in-between meal belly rumblings--I've been "making" a half and half combination of shelled, no-salt sunflower seeds and raisins--either black or golden.
It's a nice combo of crunch and soft, sweet and sour...strangely satisfying and with a quite high nutritional profile.
No wonder birds and squirrels go wild over sunflower seeds--they're quite delicious...
