Ive put it on homemade pizza and added it to frozen, same result both times.

I don't have a dehydrator or any fancy stuff there must be some simple trick. Drying it with paper towel doesn't seem like it would get enough out...

Was it fresh pineapple that you cut up yourself or was it canned pineapple packed in liquid?

It was fresh and pre cut by the store. I cut it into smaller pieces.

Several ideas"

1) Use fresh as it generally works better.
2) Dry it on a sheet of paper towel.
3) Some people will gently squeeze a little juice out.

Personally, I cut the pieces very small.

I don't have problems with pineapple on pizza, but I used canned pineapple.

You can't put fresh pineapple into jello or the jello won't set. It is some enzyme in the raw pineapple. Maybe that is interfering with your cheese or something? Or maybe canning the pineapple, which cooks it, gets some of the liquid out of it?

Try canned pineapple and see if that solves the problem.

We use either fresh or canned, but make sure it is as dry as it can be. We cut it and then wrap in paper towels to absorb the juice before adding.

Ok I tried canned pineapple for the first time. It's as tasty as cardboard.

Good news is I dried it out real well and that was a success. So I'll try with fresh pineapple only from now on. I couldn't believe how tasteless the canned stuff was.

1 for 2 ain't bad.

Not only is the canned stuff nasty, but you don't get the good pineapples, either. White pineapple and 'sugarloaf' pineapples are much tastier than the usual yellow ones. I think the sugarloafs are the little ones that are grown on the same stalk for the third time after each pineapple is harvested. They used to leave them in the fields because they were too small so local folks could go in and get them after the fields were harvested. Not sure where white pineapples showed up from, they started appearing several years ago and they're a lot sweeter than the yellow ones.

Another bit of pineapple trivia: when Dole first started canning pineapples, the juice wasn't considered valuable and was dumped in Honolulu harbor. Guess that was before the EPA.

Well, that's one reason why pineapple has no place on pizza.

I’ve never had this problem. I guess I pat it dry a little.

Pineapple and pepperoni pizza is delicious - sweet/salty/spicy.
