What I've always done to punch up brownie mix is to add liqueur instead of the water as instructed. Baileys, Kahlua, Chambord, Grand Marnier: all good.

My favorite brownie mix! I'd add some walnuts to it.

I like those mix brownies as they are. Serve them warm in a margarita glass, in bottom put a brownie broken in half, scoop vanilla ice cream, hot raspberry sauce, & hot fudge sauce.

I usually melt raspberry preserves until sauce, & make a quick ganache for chocolate. You can add liquor to raspberries, if you like.

I freeze any leftover brownie squares individually & later eat near frozen...they are an excellent fudge substitute.

I have a friend who used coconut oil in her brownies, the taste reminded me of mounds candy bars.

I bought a Ghiradelli chocolate cake mix the other night, while it's a good cake I was quite disappointed that it didn't make enough batter for a layer cake.
It makes a single layer 8 or 9 inch round or square..

My fault though I should have read the box better, I just looked at what was needed to make the cake.
It was my first time buying this mix paying a buck and a half more for less.. Betty Crocker is just as good..
