On ice cream! Ooooh, now there’s an idea worth trying! French vanilla strikes me as a particularly likely substrate for nutmeg. How about a milkshake made with milk, French vanilla IC, no syrup added whatsoever, and finished with a dash of nutmeg and toasted almonds.

Well it would be delicious, but horribly fattening.

Definitely fattening. I call it dessert, not really a substitute for a small glass of milk. And one to indulge in only once in a while, shared with DH who no doubt would love it. Funny how something I’ve never had in that combination jumps to mind so readily merely upon reading someone’s suggestion for nutmeg on whipped or ice cream!!!

I add freshly grated nutmeg to homemade applesauce. For some reason, I don’t care for cinnamon in homemade applesauce.

This turkey walks into a bar and the bartender says, “Wattle it be?”

“Make mine a Tom Collins.”
