My meatballs produces oil and what is called "scum" on the internet. The "scum" actually looks kind of tasty to me. I'm wondering if anyone use this for anything?

Looks like this could be used as part of the base for gravy?

Yes, of course that is edible. It is cooked meat juice and yes, you can incorporate it into gravy or just add the whole shebang to your tomato sauce if you are adding the meatballs to a spaghetti sauce.
