Not quite homemade, but tastes like it and is very good:

Mix two packets of Lemon Koolaid, a cup and a half of sugar, and two quarts of water. Squeeze the juice of about 8 or 10 lemons into the mix, add the cut up lemons.

(I used to use one packet of Lemon Koolaid and one packet of the Lemon Ice Koolaid but can no longer find the Lemon Ice.)

I use one part lemon juice, a little less than one part sugar, four parts water, and ice

I use one cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Almost a cup of sugar (we like it on the tart side), and the rest of the jug filled with filtered water (our water's too hard and chlorinated). I think it's about six cups of water in there. I do the same with limes. My lime tree is going crazy out there. Lucky we all like lime-ade. And Margaritas.

My Myer lemon tree is a prolific producer so we have lots of lemonade. My neighbor has a Ponderosa lemon tree which is very cool...and huge! Depending on the size of your lemons, below is a basic recipe I've used for many years. Our tree has medium sized lemons, and I can get a cup of juice from 4-5 lemons.

4 cups water
1 cup lemon juice
2/3 cup sugar
Ice to chill

Combine ingredients and stir until sugar disolves. Makes 5 (about 8 oz. each) servings.

Default Lemonade

Lemonade is my fav drink. I pay 8.00 for a big container that makes 34 qts (country time lemonade). I do have a lemon tree & would like to try to make fresh lemonade. The neighbors have stripped my lemon tree but i do have some left. So....how do i make fresh lemonade ? I have had the lemon tree for 12.6 yrs & only used the lemons for ice tea. Thanks for any info.

I've got lemon trees too. But, freezes have almost killed them the last couple years. Just squeeze a bunch of lemons in a container add water and sugar. Experiment until you have what you like. I guess some will have recipes but it's not rocket science. Good stuff too, I love lemons and limes! Good luck!

I going to try that but i gotta buy sugar. So its 4 cups of water to 1 cup of lemon juice & 2/3 cup sugar & chill. I think i go 8 cups water, 2 cups lemon juice & 2 2/3 cups of sugar (im not sure what 2/3 x 2 =). Ill do this today before all my lemons are stolen.
