I'll have to disagree with you here. Many people get married mainly because parents, society, media, peers, etc tell them it's the "right" thing to do. In addition, these "authority" figures paint an unrealistic picture of marriage and married life. That's unfortunate because many people go into marriage with unrealistic expectations and end up blaming themselves, become depressed, etc. when things don't work out as "perfect" as they were told.

If, indeed, getting married were the right thing to do for everyone, the divorce rate would not be over 50% - and rising.

It isn't, although you're right that marriage isn't for everyone.

Protection fails sometimes. Abortion is simply the next step.

I'm glad someone else realizes a fetus is a parasite. The fetus needs the mother to survive. That's the definition of a parasite.

So does a baby after being born. Is that a parasite, too?

Yeah, you're well on your way to spending your life with Miss Rosie Palm, no doubt about it! But since your teachers tell you it's better, nothing to worry about!

i'm by no means a hardcore pro-life activist and in fact consider abortion permissible in some circumstances but the fetus-to-parasite comparison is pretty ****ed up, especially since as sierra said a newborn also needs a mother to survive. Might as well condone infanticide.

When the fetus is in the womb, it literally needs the mother. There's no way for a fetus to survive outside the womb.

There's a difference between a baby and a fetus. A baby can survive outside the womb.

The point is not in the technicalities.

good: you don't have to worry about relationship drama
bad: there's no one to have "fun" with

Don't worry about him, he's a ManChild. You know, mind of a child in a young man's body? He's the who still thinks that 10 years ago as a kid he had a girlfriend much less thinks that a fetus isn't human. With that kind of ignorance from people like him, maybe it'll be good to know that there will less babies born by unfit and irresponsible people.

Carry on!
