Guys:What is your take on letting women win at things whether it be mini golf, board games, sports etc...

I know I've done it before and I've been beat fair and square as well. There's also times when there was no chance I was gonna let her win.

Girls: How do you feel about guys letting you win? Do you expect it to be that way?

I don't want to be absolutely crushed on the score card, but I do like a healthy competition. I'm perfectly ok with a guy winning if he deserves to.

I dated a guy who loved pool, as do I. I'm not great at it, but he was practically a pro. He might as well have been playing with himself. It got old after a while just sitting on a stool watching him. He could have missed a few shots to let me play a little...

I'm a girl, and I would be pretty irritated if someone let me win. Winning is only satisfying if I earn it, and I'm very competitive.

I do play racquetball with a guy who could trounce me. He always plays a little over my skill level, I almost always lose. But I love it because it always demands that I improve my skills. He doesn't trounce me outright (like 15-0) because it wouldn't be enjoyable for either of us. I do the same if I'm playing with someone of lesser skill, gender doesn't matter.

If she's going to throw a tantrum about not winning, then yeah, I won't even try. In fact, I may actively attempt to lose.

My fiancee is competitive, but a realist. If it's something she's good at, she's going hard. I gotta go hard too. If it's something she's not so good at, we don't make it competitive, unless it's close at the end... Kinda like the NBA All Star Game...

This is the best answer

I don't think that letting someone win does them any favors. But neither does giving them a beat down.

nah i dont let 'em win but i wont beat 'em to the ground either. i try and make it fun throughout. likes if we're bowling and she gets a strike i might give her a hug or kiss on the way back to congratulate her. throw in some fun jokes along hte way too. that way when its over weve both had such a good time were not payin' attention to the scoreboard much

Win at board games? I'm not sure I understand that. In the past I've found myself letting my love's win at chess, pool, and some card game I used to be into...something to do with manna. I have no memory.

I tell my husband often to just agree with me if I get in a huff over the house work. Not in a patronizing way, to be clear, just an agreement that he will clean what I tell him to clean.
