How to tell dolphins from the sharks? Some people come across as nice, sweet and fair until a misunderstanding. They jump to conclusions & seriously hurt & damage people because of assumptions and selfishness. Who wants to start chatting, emailing, blogging or dating knowing their new "friend" could be a "shark person." Are there "quick" ways to tell dolphins from sharks without too much trauma or drama. They look similar from a distance but by the time you get close enough to recognize one it is too late for safety.. I know everyone has good and bad in them. Its not that I hate sharks, I just want to stear clear of them. I just want to stick with dolphin people cause its not in their nature to hurt others. A dolphin woulnd't accidentally, or purposly attack or eat a person like a shark would. Any thoughts?

Develop some thick skin because it's impossible to not avoid "sharks" in life. That's the way it is.

That being said, you can certainly select "dolphins" as your friends.

Good luck

No but a dolphin, when threatened, can pulverize a shark by ramming it into next week with it's nose. Don't mess with a dolphin.

I remember watching something on Discovery channel where it showed a bunch of dolphins protecting a human from a shark by surrounding it and nudging the shark away.

It was a trip when I saw it.

People are people, and some are good and some are bad. I think acceptance brings peace in life.

Ah, you got there before I could.

Also, sharks don't purposely set out to eat humans. Most shark attacks are exploratory bites out of curiosity, or they mistake a human on a surfboard for a seal. Sharks are not evil.

*steps off soapbox

I think a better analogy would be the wolf in sheep's clothing. THOSE are the ones you want to avoid.

The worst is when a dolphin all of a sudden transforms into a shark. You feel so deceived. Here you thought that you can swim safely with them until your arm is bitten off.

See, that would be the wolf in sheep's clothing I just mentioned! Uh... if a wolf or sheep could swim.
