I think we had some discussion of this nature long time ago and somebody admitted to liking pink, but I don't remember who... Oh, well, they trash smokers, etc. all the time, soooo so be it!
Actually, hot pink compliments lime green. You can add some accents.
Afraid we ladies took over poor MG’s thread, steered it into decorating, and scared the guys away AGAIN!
Oh my goodness y'all! I'll step up, I'm a girly girl & I love it
I despise clutter & trinkets & collections. But I'm not afraid of pattern or feminine flair.

***I tried to add a photo of my living room, but I'm not sure if I've uploaded it right! Here is the link: valentine's+day+032.jpg (image)
there is nothing frilly or pink in your living room---i mean we are not talking about painting the walls with the colors of our favorite sports teams, when we mean a more masculine taste. your room looks totally fine!

Your photo looks very nice. There's nothing about that room that would turn off a guy. By the way, I probably live only a mile or two from you. The problem I have myself in decorating is picking out paint colors. It seems like every time I paint a room I can't really picture what those little paint sample cards are going to look like on the wall and I have to go back to the store and get something else because it ends up looking horrible. I just buy a quart of paint anymore to see how it looks and then buy more if it works.
Ok, so why does it seem normal for an adult woman to obsess about something that's essentially childish but if a man did the same thing and collected the sort of toys that you'd associate with a twelve year old boy he'd be laughed out of town? Just wondering.
Premise fail. I don't think it's normal or attractive for a woman to have a giant pig collection. Just like I don't need to see the grown man's Transformers collection room. And don't get me wrong - I LOVED the Transformers as kids. And I still read comic books. I just don't have shrines to anything in our house.
I think that's the ticket. I don't want to see shrines to anything. Accents are one thing. But it should feel like a grown up home, not a 13 year-old's.
Oh, and I really can't stand dust catchers/knickknacks/etc. Makes a place look too darn cluttered.
