So my bf of 5 months likes to ask me questions like" if we get married, would you blah blah blah"
the other day he asked me if i see him as someone i can have baby with. i said I have to date him longer to find out. then i asked him the same question and he said, he thinks there's cultural barriers and also he feels he doesn't know me.
I was like W$%^@$%^?
i mean if he feels he doesn't know me why the " if we get married" questions?

I think he talks too much and he may just talk to hear himself speak. I bet you anything he is a younger guy.

Small talk, girly conversations...just small talk guys do with women.
Really? Because that strikes me as sort of juvenile, no offense...Why talk about something serious when you don't feel seriously about it?
Sometimes I ask these questions to women I date...it allows them to take over the conversation and allows me to relax. Marriage & kid talk aint serious....but if you miss your cycle?? Thats another chat.

My last boyfriend wanted to marry me. He talked about it all the time, what our kids' names would be (I'm 40, so... that's kinda iffy). He's Chilean, lives in Santiago de Chile, I'm in Atlanta. There are major culture differences. But to me that was exciting, learning a new culture, a new language. It did cause some problems in communication, though. He didn't understand a lot of American idioms and would take them literally, I embarrassed myself by speaking Mexican-spanish which translated to something very crude in Chilean spanish...
Cross-cultural dating is a challenge, but if you reassure him you are willing to learn his culture, and if he's willing to learn yours, then that's a step in the right direction. And definitely keep a sense of humor about the learning curve.
