That would totally annoy me too. How cheap and tacky can you be when you're invited to someones home for dinner that you can't spring $10 on a bottle of wine. That would likely be the last time they were invited LOL

No. I would not be offended. I would think they were invited last minute and grabbed what they had. I would not throw a party asking people to bring things. I like to fully host any get together. Avoid the whole problem all together.
