Worst gift for me was when my daughter's father gave me a small teddy bear from Target. I say it's the "worst" because I later found out that he had bragged about having shoplifting it.
I suppose the worst was when my ex husband told me he wanted a divorce on our wedding anniversary. He didn't even remember it was our wedding anniversary. LOL
And maybe the next worse, was this guy I was dating, who I was about ready to break up with. He gave me a diamond heart necklace, which was about $40. I know this, because I'd seen one like it in the store.
It wasn't so much the necklace was so bad, it was that he gave a little speech, about he'd never given a girl diamonds before, and that he was displaying HIS heart, and wanted it close to my heart.
I was SOOO done with him, and had tried to discourage him from driving 2 hours to see me, etc. Man...I hated that necklace. Certainly not the necklace's fault. lol
I'm pretty practical and if it was a good vacuum, appliance or the related I wouldn't mind it at all. As long as a guy is paying attention I am good with whatever present he decides I am worthy of.
However, perfume is a bad gift as I am allergic to most of them. One ex boyfriend gave me that after knowing I was allergic. I can wear body sprays but buy my own as I am particular.
I like experiences with men. Like dinner and an activity. An ex boyfriend took me for Indian Food and the Opera. Not a huge fan of Indian Food or the Opera we saw but he made the effort so I was pleased.
advice to the men......don't buy her an exercise video with a slim good looking babe on the cover...even if your intentions are good..
and boat ladders aren't well received either
