I was. I treated everyone on a clean slate. Never held what they did in the past against them. Now, hindsight is 20/20. Trust no one. Consider she's deceiving unless proven otherwise. Rather err on the side of caution with all future relationships.
I'm courteous toward others. I hold doors for people, all people. I use my Ps and Qs. I treat people like cashiers and waiters VERY well, unlike some people. I've done and enjoyed community service, and I would do more if I had the time/ease of access. I really don't harbor ill will toward any people.
I don't think I've ever referred to myself as 'nice'. But other people sometimes say I'm a nice person usually much older women talking about me to young women. Here are a few of my characteristics that lead them to that conclusion:
1. I remember people's names and always greet them when I see them.
2. I talk to men and women of all ages.
3. I hold the door for both men and women, again of all ages.
4. I'm polite, saying please and thank you etc.
A lot of people refer to me as nice. This annoys me. For I know what I really am. Sure I treat people with respect and am courteous. I am willing to own up to error and to practice being honest. But you see, I will cheerfully tear anyone apart that I feel deserves it. Very few people do I think have much worth. Not that I practice telling them that. Why engage in tearing someone done unless a requirement is reached to do so?
No, I am not nice. But than again, I strive to be fair. As long as the other person responds in kind, they having nothing to fear from me.
I consider myself nice, expect I'm not nice to redneck-esque people. Or people who are vapid and shallow.
Whats wrong with rednecks?
