If I'm on a date with a woman and she asks me about my financial status, instant red-flag signaling she's a golddigger. Therefore, I put her in her place by saying "I have a job, that's all you need to know" and keep it moving on her. Yet, some women actually think it's smart to ask about a guy's financial status but let him ask her the same thing, he gets crucified

You "put her in her place" ??-dude- you must be a real fun date- bet you don't get many 2nd dates-no doubt she was simply wondering if you had enough money to pay for dinner...............
How do you determine if someone has lots of money/assets?
What kind of analysis are you using in your part to determine if he/she has assets/money?
Do you find out after you date them?
Their education, career path, and intellectual prowess. That's pretty much it. I don't look at the car they drive, how they dress, etc, because that is all besides the point. I can easily tell if somebody is lying or talking themselves up to be better or smarter than they really are. To some extent intellectual assets are more important than monetary assets.

You can have all the education, good high paying stable job but that does not mean he/she has money.
