I don't know where else to ask this but long story short, I was supposed to hang out with a boy last night and when I got to his place [2 hours away] I couldn't get a hold of him. I texted him and called him but no answer. He texted me today saying he ran out of minutes blaahblaah.

But I was just wondering do pre paid phone still ring if they have no minutes or should it just go to voice mail? Just want to know if it is a legitimate excuse.

I had one a number of years ago, and it did not ring once the minutes ran out.

That's what I was assuming. And I'm assuming he wouldn't be able to be on the internet to update Facebook statuses either if he had no minutes. Lamee.

Frankly I don't understand what the phone has to do with it. Did you make definite plans to meet him, drive for two hours and he stood you up? Then that's all you need to know: he's a jerk, move on.

Next time, don't drive 2 hours to meet a man. He drives to you, or don't bother with the date. No exceptions!

Yeah we had definite plans. I know, it's dumb. But we've hung out before and my friend was driving up there anyways to meet up with someone so it worked perfectly that I could ride with her.

Never again. Seriously. This guy left you standing there like a jerk. If there were an emergency, and he was out of phone minutes, he could have taped a note on his door. He didn't do that because he has ZERO respect for you. Never again!

If somebody can't be bothered to make sure they are reachable, it does not bode well.

Like you said, the excuses keep coming and coming. Haha the phone thing doesn't even matter any more. Inexcusable.

If he updated his FB status before you called he may have run out of minutes. If he updated after you tried to call I call BS.
