Don't be silly. No one prevents you from doing anything, but YOU.

Sure it does. There are single mothers out there who would love to get education but can't due to kid(s).

Why would I want a child when I am pursueing my career and then paying money to daycare so someone else can take care of my child?!

Ok, maybe kids don't prevent people from achieving their goals. But they can make it a lot harder, especially if people my age and younger have kids.

If you wanted a child, you'd have one. And if you wanted a career too, and you have half a brain, you'd manage it. It's not rocket science, and day care can be very very good.

And this is exactly the point I tried to get across on my above post. I am currently going to college and it's easy for me because I don't have a baby. A lot of people with babies either drop out or never go to college. Some complete college, but they're the exception rather than the norm, and they need to face a lot more obstacles in completing their college degree compared to someone like me.

Not to mention how expensive kids are these days AND how it's harder for people to make money these days. That's a bad combination and yet people continue having kids

Approximately 80% of people (including) want to have children. I'm the opposite though.

What he/she was trying to say is it's not wise to have a baby when you're in college. My dad has a good career, but he had me after college. I doubt he would be as successful if he had me during college or high school.
