For those interested, if you go to youtube, type in "duck face song" and click on the first video. Pretty funny. I'd post it here, but since it has some bad language, I suppose I shouldn't.
I hate the cellphone pic too! I mostly agree with everything you're saying except:
About the $150 date though. I disagree with that. Sorry, I would never want someone to spend that much cash on a date. I'm frugal and I think there's lots of cheap or free things to do.
If someone thinks they're worth that, then guys needs to run. To me, spending $150 on a date would have to be a celebration of something major.
I was never like this when I dated (but dinner at Applebees, or wherever decent is going to be at least $50 bucks with tip) but if you figure in flowers, dinner, tip, maybe a movie or a carnival, it could easily get to $150 bucks if you are looking to not be cheap. Chances are you could buy a female a hot dog at a downtown cart and get laid if she was attracted to you. Some chicks just can't say no so they go on several pity dates, wasting the guys time in the process. You can tell if she is attracted to you by your advances, if you try to put your arm around her or hold her hand on the first date, she doesn't like you. Also if you move in for the end of the night kiss, and all you get is a head move to the right and a loose hug where you don't even get to feel her boobs pressed up against you, you might as well forget it, because you will never, ever, EVER be able to have sex with that woman, because she does not like you.
Who the h*ll pays $150.00 for a date unless ur a millionaire
Many do that are not even close to being wealthy. Katie, think of the cost of everything on a date, and $150.00 is not unreasonable. However, I think a guy with a budget can do something that is special for a whole lot less.
I went on several dates last week and one was at an applebees, another at a strip bar and another was at a steak house. $40, $90 and $150 not in order!
As said above $150 in NYC is probably very easy!
No, Phil. I've lived in many States and I live close to NYC but...
Dinner, yes (Applebees, fine), flowers, no, movies, no. Not on a first date. I wouldn't want anyone to spend alot of money and we might not be compatible.
To me, a good first date would be at a diner (I love diners and when I travel try to hit as many as I can) and sit there and talk. Make it a short night.

Holy crip, a strip bar! Really, you'd take a date there!

I've ran the gambit. I've paid as much as 200 on a date. Those typically included an expensive dinner, expensive seats to a show or movie, and probably something after wards. I paid and drove, too, and all she had to do was enjoy and seem interested in me.
I've also had dates that I took to a local park for lunch and feeding some ducks.
Also, boat rides and kayaking are also not very expensive assuming you've already gassed up the boat, and kayaking around here isn't badly priced.
