I love lamb and I love gyros.
..My bad!

I have never been to a place that has served lamb before. And I don't want to buy lamb and cook it because I know I would cook it wrong, and I know lamb is an expensive meat.

Though I told my friend recently that at some point in thte near future we are going to get meat drunk. Heard it on Man V Food last night.

Of course...its your daughter! It's understandable.

I've never tried it either, and never wanted to. Just doesn't appeal to me somehow.

They started evacuations yesterday - tourists first though. I don't think they said anything about residents until today, but it doesn't matter - most residents don't leave. OBX'rs are pretty tough, and now that Irene is forecast to come in as a Cat 1, I doubt many residents will go anywhere.

Of course!! I'm sure she'll be fine. Irene has de-intensified quite a bit, and it's most likely going to be just a few puffs of wind once she heads toward NYC.

Well, to me it's sinful to compare good Greek pita bread to a tortilla, particularly corn tortilla, which totally sucks in my book.

I love lamb. Gyros... not so much...

I lot of people here haven't had lamb. I can understand that some don't like it, either. It is an acquired taste if you haven't grown up eating it...

Well, good to see ya here, Chess, but it's too early to count the chickens...

That reaffirms my belief that I'd not like it...most of those things that are "acquired tastes"....I don't go for.

Yeah it's early...but I feel much better about it now. BF is a little annoyed at me I think...he wanted us to experience "the big storm" together.

Was told it was an aquired taste, I replied I wouldn't live that long.
