Because it increases the chances that she will be cheated on while they are married. I'm not sure I understand the logic in this because who would marry someone ugly just to feel that her man would be faithful?

Yeah, on one hand, some attractive men think they can get any woman they want because they're good-looking.

On the other hand, I think the study was done based on stereotypes. JMO.

I tried finding anything on this news story of today on Fox News and the only thing I could find was this link to an article 3 years ago. NOT TODAY.

Women, Want a Healthy Marriage? Marry Man Uglier Than You, Study Says - Health News | Current Health News | Medical News - FOXNews.com

And as usually, you didn't comprehend what they were saying. Try reading the article and then come back to discuss.

No offense to my ex--- but LOL... he was not a looker at all... I found out after the break up that he had cheated through out our marriage... No comments from the "well if you gave him any he wouldn't have strayed"... yes everything was great in the sex department... that is why I had never had a clue.... have his cake and eat it too??? ... so I dis-agree with that study... anyone at anytime can cheat... some just like the excitement of possible getting caught??? not sure really.. just glad I'm away from the lies and deceit

That's funny. I know a guy who is attractive and he told me the opposite many years ago. He preferred that his wife stayed fat so she wouldn't cheat on him.

Marrying an ugly dude didn't work for Huma, now did it? I say that study is total BS, another ploy to keep the woman in her place.

My husband is better looking than me for sure (he has 100% success rate when he asked girls out in the past whereas I am a troll and rarely get asked out). My mom always rubs it in, telling me I should try to look more attractive so he doesn't stray. My sister tells me he only married me for money. But the key point here is that it should not matter what people think or say. I know that looks is not a factor for us since beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Based on my previous co-workers....even horribly ugly people can cheat.

Hey, Paul Newman kept it in his pants for his entire marriage spanning many decades and he could have had gals left and right.

Ugly people are more likely to cheat. First, they have lower standards and so they are working with a larger population of potential hookups. Second, they often lack self esteem which is one element that is key to fidelity.

Good looking people don't have to prove themselves with the opposite sex and usually do not have pent up jealousy thinking that others have had more sex or romance than they have.

I'd take a bombshell gal over a wannabe any day as far as fidelity is concerned.

Could this logic not go both ways on the gender thing?
