I tend to view dating as walking down a long "buffet line" with lots of choices and options. Will I pick my "all time favorites" or try something "new?"...I don't have any illusions about who I am...I'm not usually everyone's "first pick." And this is okay. I'd rather wait for the "right person" and a "good match!" I'm looking for a "needle in a haystack" and this might require a very long wait!....People who fit the norm tend to get "picked" first. Don't you think?...When I walk down a "buffet line" I go for the "familiar" but I like to try new and exotic dishes too. I like to be surprised! I get bored with "same old, same old" all the time. But some people like to stick with "what they know best" to feel safe and secure. How do you feel about it? Thanks!

All I can think about is all the grimey people who touched the serving spoons before me...and where is my hand sanitizer??

I'd often try the "catch of the day". She may not be my favorite based on past experience, but she may become my new favorite - if you don't try, you won't know. My tastes are rather eclectic, and most mainstream women don't catch my interest so I'll skip that part of the buffet. I do have a very good idea of what I like, though, so that helps focus my tastes.

I'm not a very adventurous eater and I always would go for my faves. They tend to be not "good for you.” When I try something new, extremely rarely do I like it. It is what it is, I am who I am, and I'm paying that bill, so be it.

Great post!...We have to know ourselves really well in order to make wise choices when it comes to a mate. I totally agree!...I'm not a "mainstream" person myself. So it would be foolish for me to go after most corporate executives or traditional men who expect me to play the role of their "little woman!"

You don't want to try my "tofu tezzarini royale?" You can put soy sauce or ketchup on it if you want to kill the taste! You can "down it" with prune juice to kill the taste!...Whoa! I actually have a sense of humor at times too! YEA!

How about "Eggplant Parmigiana?" (Eggplant delicately breaded with a coating of garlic and spices...Topped with a "burst " of sun-dried tomatoes in a marinara sauce with melted mozzarella and romano cheese atop.)...Basically one person's "heaven on earth" might be another person's "hell" or "nightmare!" Don't you think?...I know I'd get passed over a lot if I "sat" on a buffet line. People would walk by and say: "Yuk! What's that?"....But eventually someone would "see me" and say: "Hmm! Looks interesting! Maybe I'll take a taste!" Hopefully they won't gag and spit me out! If they do...so be it! It takes time to find a "good match!" This is how I feel anyway! It took me 12 years to "find" my husband. "Good things are worth waiting for!" This has always been my motto!

You'd probably LIKE my tofu concoction, and I usually hate tofu!

Sure I'd like to hear about your tofu recipe! To be honest I don't eat tofu very often myself. But I'm always open to trying new recipes for most everything!...Do you think that there is a "recipe for love?" If so what are the ingredients and steps?...I'd have to say: "Avoid being desperate! Insecure people have a tendency to attract insecure mates!" Don't you think?
