No I'd say it's definitely probable. I can easily see myself becoming a real ass if I found out that most of the people I went out of my way for said something bad of me because I'm a stranger who wanted to help someone in need get through there day a little easier, it can definitely change me.

Haven't seen it yet. I almost rented that just recently. My husband wasn't home at the time and figured he'd never go for the chick-flick I was also considering so I went that route instead...lol

I'm with ya on that one. I try to help others and be a nice person, but if I were to find out that those who I were nice to were talking about me behind my back, it'd easily make me change my ways. I don't wanna waste my time treating people with respect if I'm not gonna get respect back. There is the phrase "two wrongs don't make a right," but that phrase should have some exceptions in my opinion.

Yep, sometimes you gotta work the logistics.

We're talking about not allowing a child to drink a fountain drink from a complete stranger here, right?

Heck I've baked cookies for some of our new neighbors when they have moved in. I know darn well some of those people didn't eat the cookies...they don't know me or how clean I keep my kitchen, or if I let my kitties sit there on the counter with their hair all flying into the batter.

But I'll still do it when someone new moves in. Even if they don't eat them, the friendly gesture is received.

It wouldn't bother me if they said "gee that girl is crazy if she thinks we are eating these cookies"...I guess I can understand why they'd hesitate.

*For the record my kitchen is spotless and my kitties don't help me bake
