There are some men that aren't just that comfortable in front of a keyboard typing responses. Or they could have a slow internet connection. That could be why the wanting to talk on the phone. And there are also just a lot of lonesome people out there on line that want to hear a human voice.
Me, I'm not a big phone talker, especially when it's a stranger (which is what online dating is, meeting strangers). I need to see someone's face and body language while I'm talking with them. But then we all have our strange little quirks don't we?
Everyone is different. I don't like talking on the phone. I do better either emailing or texting or talking face to face. Some people don't like texting and they prefer the phone. I try to be flexible as long as the other person is as well.
