Great article, also good to know that you could turn yourself into an alpha male by following the above mentioned guidelines, I think it's also a cultural thing because Western men are usually mostly very alpha while Eastern/Asian men are mostly beta manlets.

It always amazes me that there are women who would date a broke-ass going-nowhere 'alpha male' over, say, Hu Jintao.

Then you should think about the type of women they are. A lot of guys seem to forget that women have a mind of their own and no matter what you do if she doesn't like you then she doesn't like you.

I'd venture to guess that a president is not lacking any female attention, no matter what he looks like.

Probably not, but if you sat the typical 20-year old woman down and had her observe that guy and, say, some stereotypical pick-up artist (complete with his "peacocking" garish outfit and generally loud voice) at a party she'd think the "alpha" is more successful, powerful etc.
