I was over on Facebook where a friend had posted something best left unposted. I was about to message her privately about how her post looked like petulant ranting...
...when I flashed back to some of my own posts yesterday during a bad day.
Pot? Kettle.
Foot? Mouth.
If I offended anyone yesterday, I apologize. There's a difference between disagreeing (or even dismissing) and coming off condescending, and I think I may have missed with that one a few times.
I think doing it on FB is worse lol. Maybe I haven't kept up with your posts, US, but I can't imagine you sounding insulting. I'm probably biased, tho.

Alas, NOT true, Braunwyn. There are times when I most definitely come off far worse than I intend. It's a problem I'm aware of, but like many things, requires a re-working of approach and the breaking of years of habit.
Urban Sasquatch, I know how you feel. I made a remark to a single friend of mine who used typical 'Eddy Murphy language' on Facebook. He came back with "I'm surprised you of all people would deprive me of my freedom of speech rights". I told him I was sorry I had said anything, and that didn't realize him and Eddy Murphy had so much in common before I spoke up.
You are one of the least offensive posters on here! In fact - you are quickly becoming one of my favorite posters on here! I can't imagine you being offensive - but if you were - well, we all let our tempers get the better of us from time to time. I try to stick to the high road - but sometimes the high road forks off onto the low road and I don't notice…
Eh, we've all been there Urb. I think a lot gets lost in the written word. Whatever you posted, had it been said in person, where there is immediate reaction, inflection, tone, and give and take, it probably would have been chalked up as a spirited conversation followed by "You're crazy...BARTENDER...another round please!"
We all have good and bad days on here. Not all of us are going to see eye to eye or even like one another and it will show in our posts. Then there are the ones who just like to argue and push other's buttons. They have to get the last word and think they are the end all be all to relationship advice or any other topic of discussion.
One thing I will say, I see an awful lot of "reading into" one another's posts, as though some are just looking for something to be offended about. I find I often have to go into greater detail in my posts or follow it with disclaimers so that some of the more thin-skinned or analytical types don't read me wrong and take offense. At the end of the day I think most members know where one another are coming from, at least the ones who have been around awhile.

So well said I completely agree with everything you said, but especially the bolded parts
Many thanks for the kind words of understanding. Nevertheless, I DO believe in fessing up once I realize I've gone awry. This won't prevent me FROM going awry ever again, but does soothe those wounded AND acknowledge the wrong rather than sweeping it under the rug and pretending nothing ever happened.
Thanks all, and 'nuff said!
