Does your Significant Other read this forum as frequently as you?

I'm assuming many of you have a SO that knows you post on here. But, for example, my girlfriend doesn't read forums, so while I've mentioned this specific one, she's never been on here to my knowledge.

And then here's the bonus question... Would your SO learn something new about you if he/she read your posts? To be fair, people may have different stances than what they posted 2-5 years ago.

We both participate in forums, in general (we met via one, though not C-D). We're both members here, but he mostly posts on subforums relating to our city, his field, and politics. I subscribe to the ones on our city, relationships, food, education (my field), and a check on a few others. We rarely cross paths on here, but sometimes read one another's stuff. However, after our years of being together/living together, it's pretty rare that I read something he posts where it completely surprises me that he has that viewpoint.

Mrs. Lao doesnt read forums. She barely even does facebook and she has more than 1000 friends. I sometimes have her read some of the crazy posts people make as well as my responses, but she would never in a million years frequent an online forum. Besides, if she did, she has "no filter", no interest and no patience with people and would get banned in a matter of days because a bit too "in your face" if you know what I mean.

My DH doesn't read forums. When I'm on C-D he tells me I can't help "you" people!

She used to come around here for a bit, but she never gets time now.

I don't think she ever posted tho.

Occasionally I'll show her threads I think she might be interested in, or some of the threads with the most ridiculous concepts, but she's not really bothered for forums

Yup. But I never know when. Usually she goes to my posts and reads those threads.
She says that way I have preselected the interesting threads for her.

Nope, he isn't really into the whole "social" life online. He will visit a forum on boats and/or cars but that's about it.

He calls this board my "imaginary friends"...lol

Would he learn something about me? I'm sure he would.

No. He's too busy and if he does go onto a messageboard, it's usually related to tractors, trucks, tools, etc....something specific where he needs information.

He is always on here too. I got him to join lol.

Everything that I have posted here would be nothing new to him....as a matter of fact, sometimes we even talk about the threads on here and share ideas and opinions with each other.

Nope. I'll sometimes read a post or two to him - and he'll just shake his head and sigh. I don't think he'd be surprised at any of my posts - and I don't think it would be anything new for him. He has no interest in these types of forums. He only frequents sports forums.
