My ex-bf had man boobs. At first, the first year of our relationship, he was very overweight, but then he did a training-diet program and lost a lot of weight. When he was overweight, the boobs werent as noticeable, cause they were part of his "chubby" appearance, but when he got thin, his boobs remain the same as they were before, and he got very self-concious about them.
I didnt mind at all, i find the boobs to be a funny detail, but he HATED THEM, and seemed to think it made him ugly or something, and was trying to get surgery and so on. I dated him for five years and we broke up for different things that the boobs. I was never really bother by them.
My take is that man probably care about it more than women do, but maybe thats just me.
It's kind of odd to focus on the man boobs in particular. Most men who have them are probably overweight in general, and it's probably the overweight-ness that would be an issue for women, moreso than man boobs specifically.
