Interesting answers, I wonder if the genders were reversed if you'd get the same answers from the same members. My guess is no, at least for the ones who resorted to some gender bashing.

Seeing how you both have friends of the opposite gender and none of us know to what extent YOU are friends with some of your male friends, we have no basis for comparison. Do you text your male friends, enjoy the same activities, spend any time with them? Have limits ever been discussed between the two of you in regard to friends of the opposite sex? Maybe it's time to have that discussion.

Maybe I missed it but I don't believe anyone is saying all men are naive or helpless fools at the mercy of the women around them. Just that this one individual, the OP's husband, might be naive in this one issue. Anyone of any gender is capable of being naive at any point in their life. How you've translated that to the assumption that people are saying "all men are helpless fools at the mercy of the women around them" is beyond me. Certainly, that's not what I was saying when I used the word naive so I'd thank you not to put words in my mouth.
