Likely lighter skin, less "black" features, likely softer or less "tougher" texture of hair, etc.

You can already tell its a black person asking this just by the question. What a disgrace it is to be black sometimes!

Get over the self hatred and inferiority complex, black babies are beautiful. No other race believes in all that mixing BS, they are proud to be who they are. All this good hair, light skinned BS has been going on for decades and its time it stopped. This is why everyone looks down on black people.

Their is no HONOR amongst blacks. How do we fight white supremacy when even black people themselves have this lighter is better mentality? We cant.
I agree wholeheartedly with this post along with others.

I'm black and not planning on having children at all but if I wind up with a non-black woman it will be ONLY because I'm bat crazy over her. I'd just make babies with whoever I fell in love with and not worry if the world percieves them as beautiful as long as I think they are beautiful who the hell cares what the world thinks?

It is never a disgrace to be black. It is, indeed, sometimes embarrassing to see and hear how we sometimes behave.

Default Dating someone from another race to have mixed babies? Is it wrong?

Wrong? Yes.. Disturbing? Also Yes.

The whole idea makes me 'uncomfortable'..

Of course it's wrong. It's a very colonial mindset. Yuck. And people actually question if white people have an advantage in dating. Duh!

If it wasn't the only reason to date someone from another race but just another good reason.

This girl I used to talk to said we would have beautiful kids because of my height, complexion and my natural body build and her pretty feautures.

I do want my kids to be biracial.
And I do want a beautiful daughter. I mean come on no one wants ugly kids.

I want my daughter to look like alicia keys, amerie, Cassie, Beyonce or even dolicia Bryant

There was also a study down that determined that mixed people have better genes then pure breds. It sounds like a quote from the underworld series but it seems true. Whats your take on this?

Do you think there's other people out there who date inter racially for this reason as well?
There is a general fallacy about "hybrid vigor". For instance, yes, if you breed a female horse and a male donkey you get a mule, which is stronger, smarter and has more endurance than either parent. However, what you don't hear is that when you breed a female donkey and a male horse, you get a an inferior animal which is sterile.

The point being that hybrids are not always better. Before I would have expectations that my child would be "beautiful" because of its bi-racial heritage, I would look to the general population instead of people who are celebrities. Trust me when I say there are plenty of ugly people of every race, color and creed. Generally speaking, celebrities are beautiful and do not represent the appearance of the average person.

Of course, if your child is less than perfect, they could always take the same route that many celebrities do and have any "unattractive" features altered with plastic surgery. It seems that trying to achieve less of an African American look through surgery is quite popular.

Oh good Lord. Horses and donkeys are different SPECIES.

Leave it to you to post such a thing.

You've got serious disturbing problems and messed up priorities, OP. Maybe you should get those straightened out before getting into a relationship...certainly before marrying and having kids.

If you consider having biracial children one of the many perks of starting a family with the person you love, I don't think that's bad.

If you put up with someone you don't really love just to get your hands on their genes, that's gross.

If you reject someone who is otherwise your perfect match in every way but isn't the person you want your kids to look like, that's racist.

Motivations matter.

While I do enjoy a good troll thread and I will be reading this one for the chuckles, I did feel the need to point this out:

Beyonce is not biracial. For whatever reason that assumption keeps popping up (I actually argued with a white female once because she SWORE to me Beyonce had to be biracial since she's light and pretty SMH) - even though her parents are fairly high profile people still think this. Her mom is Creole I think.

Okay, carry on.

OP, I don't think it's "wrong" to want mixed children. I just hope that when you do have children, you are able to love and provide for them properly regardless of how they look.
