I want women's opinion on this one, would you be upset if your boyfriend/husband did not find you attractive after weight gain. When I say weight gain, I'm talking about 40, 50, 60, 100lbs. It was not due to depression or some other lame excuse. I'm talking about strictly a refusal to eat healthy, and not going to the gym, nothing else.

No. If you're lazy, you're lazy and not entitled to someone finding you attractive.

However, I gained a lot of weight due to medication and my ex boyfriend didn't find me attractive after that. It had NOTHING to do with a refusal to eat health or exercise but that didn't matter to him, and I'm sure it wouldn't matter to most men.

They would be angry, but the man has the right to be unattracted if she was lazy. I can't believe people in this day and age are ok with being fat and unhealthy and make excuses for it. Sadly the fat acceptance movement is winning.

Wellll....I can't say one way or they other of I don't have the whole story. Does the person have any health issues, etc?

Also, when you use the word lame in your explanation, it immediately makes me want to side with the woman. The word lame just seems so juvenile.

This happened to me as well, with the use of prescribed steroids, however my SO didn't jump ship over it.

I don't want this thread to get hijacked, i'm talking about being lazy. No medication issues, no depression, strictly eating habits and not exercising.

Mine did. Started cheating on me.

I lost most of it fairly quickly, but the damage (stretch marks etc.) was done. Couple that with my nearly nonexistant stomach muscles due to issues when I was young and you get a pretty messed up body

No one wants to hijack your thread. Is this your wife/girlfriend? How would someone truly know if someone is depressed? It can be easily hidden.

You can't force a person to be attracted to you. In a marriage, tho, ideally a spouse will be supportive and helpful with whatever issue that is happening. If weight needs to be lost and tone needs to be gained, they should get busy together imo.
