-A doctorate in engineering

To get a woman that
-Is pretty/kinda cute
-Has a bachelors degree
-Makes 40-50K
-Has no talents of note
-Is pretty social
-Respects me and is proud to have me as a man
I'm pushing towards all those goals in different degrees, but of course, there's not enough life time to get them all done. Of course, when I'm working on my career or degrees, I have to sacrifice working on my social circle or charisma or practicing music.
Sometimes I get frustrated. I feel like I need to give at least double what I expect in a woman. The list for a woman above is not the bare minimum. It is the IDEAL.
Any other guys feel frustrated that they feel they need to give much more than they expect?
I understand what you are feeling. But if a man really needed all those things you listed just to get an average girl there would be virtually no dating at all.
Supply and demand. Are there a ton of guys with those qualifications courting women? If so, they have options and they probably wont' choose you if something better comes along.
Same goes for men. Why would they choose a woman like me when there are 22 year old cute coeds to be with? I don't stand a chance.
OP, are you pretty ugly? If the answer is yes, then you need to accept that your dates are going to be too .. unless of course you compensate in some of the ways you mention. If you want to just be yourself and find a nice girl, you need to be looking for girls who are a "5" (if you are a "5") or a "2" if you are a "2".

If someone is a 2 are they capable of being attracted to a 2 even if that's all they can get? I would say no unless they are lying to themselves. They might be better off alone.

The problem with your logic is that you have to assume that the "5" or average looking woman is nice, down to earth and willing to accept a man that is a just like her in terms of looks. Most "5s" or average women want a better looking man than what they naturally attract. Too many of them have inflated egos and as such the average guy has to contend with that.
Hahahaha wow OP those are some funny requirements. I think you guys try too hard.
