Mine don't ignore me at all. In fact I often wish they would ignore me a little more. I go outside to do some stuff with my plants and there's a posse following me. I sit outside with a book in the sun and there's a bunch of furballs surrounding the chair. I go to take a pee and always have some company in the bathroom. I feel like the bloody Pied Piper sometimes.

Cats aren't clean, they are full of cat spit.

That said, have the pets you want and to hell with what other people think. Married or not, I am a crazy dog lady. It doesn't bother me. You just have to find a person who is on your wavelength. At one point we had five dogs and two birds. It's a crazy life but someone has to take care of them.

I once stayed in a relationship too long because of a dog. Turns out the dog was his only redeeming quality! LOL

Yeah, I don't know why people think cats ignore people. Mine always hangs around us, loves coming and showing us what insects he has caught (usually lizards and roaches) and likes to sleep on our bed. I can't garden without Baby inspecting and making sure no bug goes untouched

this is really no different then old geezer single men who are praised for 'getting young tail' and never settling down, but single older ladies are put down for being the same. What else is new? Men are always given more credit, a pass for being in the same situation as a woman.

remember when Ashton Kutcher broke up with Demi Moore? A lot of people were angry at Demi, saying she should have been wiser, should have known better and not have a menopausal crisis on a 25yo. Yet when Michael Douglas hooked up with Catherine Zeta Jones, no-one battered an eyelid

exactly. I read something recently where people were calling Demi 'pathetic' b/c she's been trying to save her marriage and he's running around with Mila Kunis (who is about as big a moron as he is). They Demi shouldn't have married a young guy like that and "she's a cougar trying to be young." Nobody says that about Michael and Katherine.
