For some reason alot of people have taken the fun out of dating and relationships in general. People treat dating like its a chore, or a job interview when its simply just a date.
Am I the only one who still views dating as a fun thing to do, no matter the outcome?
Very true. I actually had a girl that I met on Match say to me "I don't date for fun" (first on the phone, then again when we met). She had such a business-like approach to the whole thing that was definitely a turn-off.

I agree it is a turn off, and your a good one to take it as far as you did. I would of cut it off after she mention she doesnt date for fun the first time.

Reps, this is my approach to dating (and to life).
I think I may have actually met the girl of my dreams too. Seriously, I've been on a LOT of dates, and always lived by the bolded mantra. Just when I least expected it, I've found somebody REALLY awesome.

Exactly, your not looking for someone to run a multi-million dollar corporation, but some people treat dating as such and wonder why he or she is still single.
I think if a woman said she doesn't have any fun on dates I'd be completely turned off. No sense of humor, just all business and nothing but questions, and negatives if I'm not dressed for an interview? GTFO
I think people (myself included) get so focused on finding a LTR they forget to have fun along the way. Having a few drinks and a conversation with a new person should be enjoyable even if it doesn't go anywhere. I'm trying to remember to have fun and not take dating so seriously.
I remember the exact year the fun of dating stopped for me and became as mentioned a, chore. 2006. I would actually sit and contemplate whether I really wanted to invest the time it took to do the pre primping to get ready or stay home and watch a DVD, at that point often calling off the date to watch the DVD instead. I know, sad huh. LOL. At least by then I was much older than most of you and had enough fun dating out of my system to last a life time.
The fun and exciting side of dating is called having sex.
