Sometimes, and usually after a few drinks, I have a few friends (female) that will get quite a bit more touchy. I.e: grab my hair, kissing on the cheeks, spooning, couple of instances with very brief hand-holding. I don't want to sound naieve, but I otherwise never notice any other signals at any other times.
I'm just wondering how likely it is for girls to do this just because they feel more comfortable around you, and not have anything to do with attraction?
That does not mean they're interested in you as a partner. Females flirt, they flirt with the opposite sex as well as the same sex. We do it ALL the time, well most females flirt.
I have a lot of male friends who get "touchy" with me (I'm female) when they have a few in them. This also includes my boyfriends friends. A lot of them also get touchy with other males.
I never read too far into it, just chalk it up to being drunk and maybe not getting enough hugs when they were little.
Where do you think "consensual" comes into play in this scenario?

This isn't rocket science, if I were to get touchy feely back and she said "no" and crossed that line then it wouldn't be consensual. Now the OP is rather vague as to whether he and his female friends had already established there was never to be any sex between them as well as locale as to where these events are taking place, the local bar? his place?, her place? Those factors would matter as well.
What kind of imaginations do some of you people have where some serious flirting or "heavy petting" if you will can somehow be distorted into the act of a non-consensual, forcible felony?

It's pretty safe to say that if a woman is very inebriated, and you are not, regardless of her initiating flirtation, you should just back off. Why is that so difficult to grasp?
