Exactly, If the OP is at least 40 and makes over 100k a year he could easily have a 1 million dollar net worth or more. If your talking 1 million/year thats a whole different ball game.

if she lives in a big city, then there's plenty of millionaires and it's not at all surprising that over the course of her life she will meet and date multiple millionaires. it's possible that some of these guys were fibbing, but i'm sure there were genuine millionaires among the lot as well...as others have said, not as rare as you think.

for a woman you just have to know where to hang out, and not be fugly and it'll happen, given enough time

Big deal. Millionaires are a dime a dozen now.

The question is why does she say that stuff? To make it seem like she is all that? To make you feel bad?

Sounds dysfunctional.

The question is: How much of it did you get to spend?

I was going to point that out myself but not surprised someone else already has.

He lives in LA (basically). It's a town full of big shots and high rollers. 100k/yr doesnt impress anybody in the more uppity circles. That's pretty much a standard run of the mill okay-paying job in SoCal. Same deal in NYC...very easy to feel like a nobody or even a loser when you start thinking about it too much. There's always going to be some ******* who's just as handsome as you are raking in 1/2 mil/yr in some cool/creative entrepreneurial endeavor while you slave away for the man every day doing something boring like software engineering or law or whatever. You can't compete with that guy so don't even bother worrying about it. I wouldnt bother with any chick who makes a big thing out of dating only baller status guys anyway because I find that sort of attitude deeply unnattractive. That's life in the big city though.

What do you think? Why is this bothering me? It is because I hate conceited women and this attitude that just because a woman is thin she is automatically entitled to a guy who makes millions... in the real world I am just not seeing it but yet I have heard so many women claiming that they have settled for the good guy earning "only" $100,000/yr when they infact could've got a guy making millions...pfftt!

I make north of $100k/yr and I know how hard it was for me to get to where I am, no walk in the park... but then I meet some women who are like "oh, that's nothing! I used to date millionaires but you're a good guy so I am settling for your poor $100k/yr income"... WTF?
This is one of the lies women say to a man to keep his ego in check. Truth is if she stays with you, you are the best she can get.

A million is nothing nowadays, by the way.
