I already have enough money.... but to find someone who is everything I want is much harder to come.... you could spend a million dollars and still never find that "perfect" someone... so most of us settle with less than perfect and that's fine... that's life...

I'd take the money, I would rather have the money to go out and travel and have fun single then finding my true love. Who knows I might find true love during my travels.

Does one necessarily preclude the other?

Well I put 1 million dollars but then again, I'm not looking for a relationship yet. If I were offered 1 million dollars, I would use it to continue paying for my classes, built my own business and definitely quit my stressful job I'm doing now at a call center (a promotion/sales rep with an automatic dialer doing all the calls) that never promotes me to a higher position.

Besides what good does emotions help out in financial problems or finishing your major? Emotions is sure not going to buy you clothes or food.

One million over a long period of time, considering all expenses and the possibility of putting kids through colleges for overpriced degrees, is not alot at all. I would take "true love", even though I don't think it exists.

A million wouldn't set someone up for life, but you could buy a nice house and fully fund your children's college educations and still have a good sum for the retirement fund. It would go a long way toward financial independence.
