Recently I was in a completely different part of the country, really hit it off with someone I just met- a great connection & attraction- however, a few things came up that made the connection end in an abrupt manner that no contact info was exchanged. It was a true connection and I know I'll never see this person again...any similar stories or coping mechanisms?
Cant stop thinking about this..and sad knowing that due to not being in the same part of the world, will never meet again...

Interesting story. What were the specifics? Inquiring minds want to know.
I once was running a marathon and at about mile 11 or 12 started running with this woman. We struck up a conversation that lasted until mile 20 or so, but she was better prepared for the race than I was, and I insisted that she not let me hold her up. She told me to meet her at the finish line and even where to find her. Never found her and by the time I boarded the plane for my flight home, she was the furthest thing from my mind. Likely I was the furthest thing from her mind as well.
These little encounters are fun when they happen and always leave us with a sense of wonder and curiosity, but if either party were interested in a connection, they would ensure that one was made. At least that's how I feel.
Everyone has those moments in life. Don't think about it too much. I have had about half a dozen or so of such connections and honestly just move on...
