I don't see how that question was stupid OR materialistic. Allowing yourself to get all defensive and feel judged, based on a simple question?....now THAT is something I consider stupid...oh, and paranoid.

Heck employers look at your facebook account to see what kind of person you are. All I know is my sister and friends have a job where they monitor you. Or the boss creeps up behind you...."What are you doing? Get OFF FACEBOOK!"
Raena, most large employers, and certainly school systems and municipalities, monitor internet activity. They would be fools not to. Facebook and the relationship forum of CD is certainly not a proper place to visit, while on anyone's time but your own.
