Why are you telling me the problem if you don't want help with the solution?
It's the difference between male and female communication skills. Generally, men speak to convey information or to solve problems, and women communicate to create a bond. So when a women vents, she wants someone to listen, to express sympathy/empathy, and to let her know that she's okay.
